Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation Review

I was very excited to find out that I was chosen by Influester to test Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation from Rimmel London.  I hate shine.  Living in Florida it is often hard to avoid.  Think humidity.  That with my true combination skin . . . shine shine shine!

I received Rimmel London's Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in shade 203 - True Beige.  The first thing I did was open the tube to give it a sniff.  I can't have something on my face that has a strong scent.  Safe.  It has just a light kind of powder scent. Once on, it is not noticeable after a few minutes.

The real test.  I applied it with just my fingertips.  It is thicker than I am used to but it glides right on and spreads easily.  No sticky, tacky, or greasy feel.  On my skin it is actually lightweight feeling.  I don't feel like something is on my skin.  It's buildable so the coverage can be sheer or full.  Flaws and pesky pores disappear.  I find the finish to be like I've used powder.  Saves me a step there.  Here it is and I'm loving the look!

After a full day I found it really helped control shine.  I didn't look like an oil slick or have to blot.  This foundation does have a bit of a drier feel to it I believe from the matte properties.  If you have dry or flaky skin, definitely apply a moisturizer first and let it absorb for a few minutes before applying Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation.  My only complaint is that is does not have SPF.  Otherwise, it's a great product for those needing a foundation with shine control.  Makes sure to check out this product here : http://www.influenster.com/review/rimmel-london-stay-matte-liquid-mousse-foundation
Thank you, Influenster for introducing me to Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation!

Café Escapes Bzzcampaign

I was recently invited to do a bzzcampaign through bzzagent for Café Escapes. Café Escapes are kcups for your Keurig brewer that brew indulgent beverages at a touch of a button.  I was already familiar with their first four flavors - Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa, Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa, Chai Latte, and Café Mocha. Bzzagent sent me a samples of these as well as samples of their two new flavors, Café Vanilla and Café Caramel. My experience?  Creamy dreamy love at first sip!

What's even more exciting is that I never have to feel guilty about indulging in one of these satisfying beverages as each of Café Escapes varieties has only 70 calories or less!  You can't beat the convenience either.  I really enjoy being able to brew up one of these rich and creamy beverages in the comfort of my home at any time that I want.
I like to take a "me moment" to enjoy my freshly brewed Café Escapes favorite Chai Latte or Café Vanilla by snuggling up to my cat and looking through a magazine.  My husband enjoys a Café Mocha or Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa in the mornings while he checks out the day's weather and headlines.

All six of Café Escapes are gluten free.  For best flavor results, brew on the 8 oz. setting of your Keurig.  Suggested retail prices for boxes of K-Cup packs are: $8.49 (12-ct), $11.99 (16-ct) and $17.49 (24-ct), which will save you tons of money compared to coffee shops. Café Escapes can be found in grocery and retail stores nationwide(like Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond), and online at CafeEscapes.com, GreenMountainCoffee.com and Keurig.com.

Have you tried Café Escapes?  What's your favorite flavor to indulge in or which flavor do you want to try first?  How do you spend your "me moment"?

Brownie Brittle Review

I know. I know.  How can I possible write my first "I'm back" review on brownies when I said I was trying to be healthier.  No problem with that here.

There is a good chance you are already familiar with Sheila G's brownies that are served across the country in many restaurants and theme parks like Disney.  Well her favorite part of the brownie is the crispy edge.  Luckily for us, she figured out how to make a whole pan of edges creating Brownie Brittle.  Now you can get a whole bag of rich brownie taste with a cookie crunch and no more fighting over an edge or corner piece.

What do I find exciting about Brownie Brittle?  Not only does it have that rich, chocolate flavor you want in a brownie, but a serving is only 120 calories!  You get to have 6 if these wonderful and nicely sized brownie brittle squares for only 120 calories and 4 grams of fat!  That is AMAZING.  I usually only eat 2.  Later I go back for another 2 and have absolutely no guilt.  Plus Sheils G's Brownie Brittle is all natural and comes is 3 varieties - chocolate chip, toffee crunch, and traditional walnut.  Awesome!
They are so yummy that I tend to eat Brownie Brittle straight out of the bag.  It's also great crumbled on some ice cream, blended into a milkshake and makes an incredible pie crust.  Come up with your own special concoction or check out some of the recipes on their website - http://browniebrittle.com .

You can pick up a bag of Brownie Brittle in stores like Publix, Kroger, Sam's Club, Costco or use the store finder on their website.  You can also order directly from them online.  "Like" their FaceBook page to hear about new product announcements, events, and even giveaways! https://www.facebook.com/BrownieBrittle

Are you already a Brownie Brittle fan?  What's your favorite flavor?  Or are you going to head out to get some to try?  Let us know!

I'm back!

Hello, everyone!  I'm back!  It's been a crazy six months or so, but I'm ready to get cranking again.  I'm looking forward to doing some beauty reviews, food reviews, sharing great brands I've discovered and maybe a giveaway or two!  My food articles will be more health/fitness related as I'm trying to get back in shape and eat better.  As usually, I'll also be looking for ways for us to save a little money.  Here's to enjoying a healthier and more financially sound life!
